The Interesting Times

As far as I know, the "Ark Encounter" park isn't receiving any funding in the form of taxpayer dollars. What it's getting is a tax rebate.

Obama 2012

It's nice to see the Tea Party Republicans getting poor approval ratings even in a red state like Kentucky.

And those generic House numbers are very encouraging indeed.

Kevin Harris

Question number 7 is misleading and is factually incorrect. There are NO taxpayer monies given to this project. A simple internet search of Kentucky government records will reveal these facts.

Ken Ham

Let me put it another way. In fact, let me put it in words that even a child can understand. I do this in the hope that perhaps the secular media and those behind this polling organization may actually be willing (depending on how strong their anti-Christian agenda is) to acknowledge the truth:

No taxpayer funds will be used to build the park—none! No taxpayer funds will be used for any part of the construction—none! No taxpayer funds will be used to subsidize the park—none! The park is totally (that means 100 percent) privately funded. No taxpayer funds contribute to any of the private funding—none!

Judging by the false information regarding the Ark Encounter this poll is unreliable. No state funds have been or will be given to the AE yet the pollster purposely included wrong facts. They apparently are in the business of attempting to change public opinion rather than report on it.

Joshua Schuettenhelm

Steve Beshear never approved Tax money going toward the construction of the Ark Encounter. It is a private company with the same tax benefits available to anyone else.

Tom Elliott

Hi Dean. Are you sure that the "poll" is correct about tax payer dollars building the ark encounter and what do you cite as proof for this?

Thanks Dean! Look forward to your response!

Ray Shaver

This pole obviously can't be trusted considering the FACT that no taxpayer funds will be used for the ark encounter. In FACT, it will greatly help generate more revenue for the state over the years.

Since someone apparently from Ark Encounter apparently decided to post seven comments with false information, I feel compelled to set the record straight. Ark Encounter ABSOLUTELY WILL RECEIVE TAX MONEY. That's what a sales tax rebate is. People who buy things there will pay the state's six percent sales tax, then the state will rebate or kick back part of that TAX MONEY to Ark Encounter. It WILL receive tax money -- SALES TAX money. In addition to more than $40 million in SALES TAX, Ark Encounter will benefit from an estimated $11 million in TAX MONEY used to improve highway access to the park. You can't spin this to say it will not receive tax money.

PPP POLLS BY YEAR: 2006-2017

We came to PPP after a public poll in the San Jose Mayoral race showed our opponent ahead by 8 points. They found our candidate (Sam Liccardo) ahead by 3 points and that allowed us to be able to push back with the press against the perception that our opponent was now a strong favorite in the race. Sam ended up winning by 2 points and is now the next Mayor of San Jose. PPP worked very fast and had a very accurate read on the electorate when we needed them

PPP is best known for putting out highly accurate polling on key political races across the country, but we also do affordable private research for candidates and organizations.  Why pay tens of thousands of dollars for a survey when one of the most reliable companies in the nation can do it for less?"
