We're not doing any public polls this weekend- the only releases from PPP next week will be a few leftovers from our Massachusetts, Ohio, and Oregon polls this week.
We're going to go ahead and start putting together next weekend's polls in North Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin though. Obviously in all three states we'll look at the Presidential race, and we'll look at the contests for Governor in North Carolina and for the Senate in Virginia and Wisconsin. Beyond those things what would you like to see us ask about on these polls?
Have a good weekend!

Maybe a 2014 look ahead at Kay Hagan against Thom Tillis? Your 2014 polling has been extremely interesting so far!!
Posted by: Pat | June 29, 2012 at 03:37 PM
All three need to be polled in regard to Gay Marriage. Very curious as to where North Carolina is at with this issue after Obama's support for equal marriage. Also curious to see where Virginia is with this issue seeing as it borders Maryland, North Carolina, and Washington D.C.
I'd like to see how people would vote in regards to the recent SCOTUS rulings on immigration and health care. Are they more likely to vote one way or the other now?

Who did you vote for in the Recall election in Wisconsin. Also, please place that in the SAME poll for president. I would like to see how it turns out. Same-sex marriage in all 3 states would be great. Paul Ryan/Mitt Romney on the same ticket.
Posted by: Jay Thompson | June 29, 2012 at 04:35 PM
Please include Virgil Goode in these. He was polling at 5% in the last Virginia poll you did. His district bordered NC when he was in congress and people in that part of NC do remember him.
Posted by: Kevin | June 29, 2012 at 04:58 PM
Maybe a 2014 look at NC senate race, please include congresswomqn Sue Myrick as a possible contender! Also please add Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, and Virgil Goode to the polls please!
Posted by: Mike | June 29, 2012 at 05:08 PM
Poll the Presidential race in all three, obviously, please. Also, same-sex marriage in Virginia and Wisconsin, thank you.
Posted by: Justin | June 29, 2012 at 05:56 PM
The most important..please ask the residents in the three tests about their opinion on the recent supreme court ruling upholding the Obamacare! It may also be useful to throw in a question on the executive order by President Obama to allow people who came illegally as babies and children to this country, to stay and work in this country.

2014 WI-Gov: I'd like to see hypothetical Scott Walker-Lori Compas and Rebecca Kleefisch-Lori Compas polls.
Posted by: Aaron Camp | June 29, 2012 at 07:04 PM
Include Gary Johnson for the presidential polling in all three states.
Posted by: MO | June 29, 2012 at 07:07 PM
WI: If you were re-voting in the recall who would you support?
All three: Do you support the Supreme Court decision on health care?
Also ask about the favorable/unfavorable of John Roberts. It would be interesting to see the breakdown by party/ideology.

Wisconsin cities favorability: Madison, Green Bay, Milwaukee, maybe Kenosha/Racine?
Posted by: Ryan | June 29, 2012 at 11:44 PM
WI:
Which party do you want to control the US Senate in November?
I ask because (1) Tommy Thompson is a popular figure in WI politics and may win based on that, and (2) I'm curious if there's a resentment that's been created towards WI Democrats because of the recalls that doesn't necessarily trend towards national Democrats. I may be wrong in these theories, the state may also be becoming more red.
Posted by: sd | June 30, 2012 at 08:46 AM
Also in WI, which obviously not all of these will be asked:
As someone said, support/oppose Supreme Court ruling of PPACA.
Paul Ryan approval rating
Russ Feingold approval rating
Ron Johnson approval rating
Favorability rating of bordering states IL and MN.
Favorability rating of cities in WI including Madison, Milwaukee, Wisconsin Dells, and Waukesha county
Favorability rating of MSNBC News Network (they have been extensively covering the WI Recall elections)
Which party do WI voters want to control the US House of Representatives?
Posted by: sd | June 30, 2012 at 09:15 AM
Use Sue Myrick in the NC 2014 senate poll please! And use Jill Stein and Virgil Goode in the presidential polls please.
Posted by: Michael | June 30, 2012 at 09:18 AM
Ask about gay marriage in Virginia and Wisconsin.

Virginia: marriage rights and civil unions for same-sex couples
Governor's aproval rating and possible romney VP pick
whos more exited to come out the elections dems or repubs
Posted by: Lee | June 30, 2012 at 12:01 PM
It would be great to see same-sex marriage numbers in Virginia and Wisconsin.
Also, I'd love to see a question in all three states about whether people support or oppose President Obama's health care law. I'm curious whether or not the Supreme Court's decision has had an effect on people's opinion of the law.
Posted by: SD | June 30, 2012 at 02:22 PM
All three should be polled on the usual same-sex marriage permutations.
Poll Wisconsin on approve/disapprove of recall process and happy/want amendment/want removal of unlimited recall fundraising and the recall process.
Poll Wisconsin on whether they would/would not support amending the state constitution to allow voter repeal of laws.
Poll Wisconsin on how they feel about political advertising (state has seen an impossible amount of it). Probably also poll on whether attack ads against one candidate make you more or less likely to support that candidate's opponent.
Poll Virginia on whether they approve/disapprove of the UVA Board's handling of their President.
Poll Virginia and North Carolina on whether they believe in climate change and how much action they feel the states should take (this has been a particular issue on the Atlantic coast).

In NC and WI I would very much like to see generic legislative ballot questions. The DLCC just recently claimed a +7 spread for Democrats in WI and a +5 spread in NC in their polling.

North Carolina - what do people think about the de-funding of Planned Parenthood and other non-government groups that provide birth control at low cost? The legislature recently reversed governor's veto.
