Are you going to poll the AZ-08 special election?

Todd Dugdale

The MN GOP is so completely screwed.

It's not just that they are so broke they barely avoided being evicted from their headquarters. It's not just that they created a corporation (CTAP) and stuck it with their debts, without the knowledge of any of the corporation's putative "officers". It's not that their purchase orders are treated as Confederate money, nor that they've screwed over the State's most prestigious attorneys by refusing to pay them for their services in the recount. It's not just that Romney performed dismally in the (non-binding) primary.

No, it's not all of that. It's that their weakened condition has made them ripe for take-overs from factions that could never attain that status on their own.

After the 2010 elections, the evangelicals took over in a coup. They put absolutely no money into the Party, but they took over the agenda. They pushed doomed social issues, made wacky statements on a regular basis, and made Bachmann the face of the State Party. Now the Paulites are seeing their opportunity, and banging on the door for their turn at the helm of the broken, bankrupt, ridiculed Party.

Though PPP didn't poll the favourability of Coleman himself, he is DOA as a candidate among Republicans. He is marked as a loser, which is the worst sin that a MN Republican can commit. Remember Mark Kennedy, Klobuchar's last opponent? Neither does anyone else in the State. Tom Emmer, the Republican candidate in the recounted gubernatorial race, is now a host on a right-wing radio show. He's done. Same with any of the forgotten losers that the Party talked into running against Ellison. The Party is running out of sacrificial lambs, and they're already throwing the best that they have left against Klobuchar.

They are screwed.

PPP is best known for putting out highly accurate polling on key political races across the country, but we also do affordable private research for candidates and organizations.  Why pay tens of thousands of dollars for a survey when one of the most reliable companies in the nation can do it for less?"
