Another parallel to Graham would be Joe Lieberman, who required significant support from Republicans to retain his seat as an independent.

This was inevitable. It also explains why so much money is being spent by liberal front groups promoting his environmental fascism as a security issue. Strange, but thats the exact reason the 1930s fascist government in Germany gave for promoting the same types of policies.In the current political climate--probably not improving much in the next few years--his head is on the chopping block.This may be another reason that he chooses to accept a position in the Obama cabinet as SecDef near the end of the year when Robert Gates resigns as expected.
